about
A Shift of Paradigm is a tale about replaceability: a paradigm per se represents in linguistics the possibility of substituting an element within an utterance through another element fulfilling the same function, even in case the coherence of the sentence itself no longer exists.
It is the confession of a defeat, of a loss of sense within the realm of the habits that persist mechanically to concede a virtual feeling of safety, of soothing homologation as shelter of a more turbulent inner existence: It is desire as desire of the Other - as conformation to someone else's will, as longing for a still unknown otherness and finally as subjugation to the unseen symbolic order permeating dualities.
lyrics
We drift along forgotten days,
Intimidate, retaliate
Mes longs adieux, tes neiges d'antan
My indifference, your plans to dominate
You gravitate
Above, enthroned,
The shrines of love
Don’t glimmer as they used to.
Implore, encore,
The show goes on, on
Cathartic, cataleptic
We need a
Shift of paradigm,
Beyond reciprocal imposture,
Shift of paradigm,
Deliver us from fragile lust,
Mistrust
Our wonders doomed to obsolescence,
Our abstinence, our thirst for dogmata.
This blackmail forged in a requiem
My penitence,
We long for new paradigms.
We flow along this silence
Linear descent, indulgence,
“Car me voyant sans exigences,
Elle me croyait sans besoins”
Two minutes to
Precipitate
Hello, halo? This hollow chant à deux
No longer benumbs,
Your status quo is afterglow,
Lysergic, homeostatic
We need a
Shift of paradigm,
Beyond reciprocal imposture,
Shift of paradigm,
Deliver us from fragile lust,
Mistrust
Our wonders doomed to obsolescence,
Our abstinence, our thirst for dogmata.
This blackmail forged in a requiem
My penitence,
We long for new paradigms.
Run from evidence
Truths to eradicate, run
Fate is not lenient
For those who live out of scum.
Ach, wie gut, dass niemand weiß
Dass ich der Perverse heiß!
Heute Liebe in Seele und Leib,
Doch morgen ist alles vorbei!
